UPDATE! (5/3/04)
One of the most
frequently asked questions regarding the HE90
series was "Why wasn't it made to fit
straight into a Chieftec Full Tower case as
the two are ideally suited?!"
The HE90.1 is
now available premodified especially for these
cases and all others with similar layouts (92mm
Exhaust above ATX PSU), which means these cases
can now be easily watercooled without ANY modifications
being necessary.
The clickable
thumbnails to the left and right show
closeup shots of the modified HE90.1 fitted
in a Chieftec Scorpio Full Tower (TA-10 Series),
however the mods will allow the radiator's use
in any of their full tower cases.
The mod also
ensures that a 2mm clearance gap is left between
the radiator and the ATX PSU to reduce thermal
conduction between the two, which could potential
decrease your cooling performance.
Remember to check
with your retailer whether their stock is the
new modified version (denoted by 8 mounting
holes in the shroud on the reverse side of the
radiator as opposed to the usual 4) if you will
be using your HE90.1 for this application.
